The Categories for Mister USofA MI:
Presentation Presentation is not a judged category. It is a way for each contestant to present themselves and give a first impression to the judges panel and audience. It is your choice of how much money and time you spend on your costume. The theme for presentation this year is Rock Fest. Contestants must be in ALL WHITE.
Personal Interview The basic nature of the interview is intended to be somewhat casual and relaxed. The suggested attire for the interview is business casual day wear, male or female; however, each contestant should select clothing in which he feels at ease. You should dress as you would for a professional job interview.
Talent Remember that the Mister USofA MI Contest does not provide contestants with backstage staff for prop set-up and tear down, although we will assist with your props as much as possible. The backstage staff will not, under any circumstance, be responsible for any damage to props while helping a contestant. Each contestant must secure his own storage of props at all times.
Creative Evening Wear Example: IF you were going to an International Leather Premier, you would wear evening evening wear made from Leather or accessorized with it. Marilyn Mason, P-Diddy, Kenny Chesney, SuperNova, Techno, etc... Contestants are urged to research examples of Creative 'Red Carpet' Evening Wear by searching their genre on the internet or watching red carpet events on television. Contestant will be judged on originality, presentation, technicality, and fit. Contestant may change Preliminary night Creative Evening Wear for Final Night.
